positives: if you are desperate for a bed this is the place to go. Most of the tech staff is in recovery.

I know for a fact that this place makes mojority if not all patients here feel comfortable and respected. In peoples lives thats the support they need to fight their own battles! I know for a fact one of the workers Amanda is awesome at being able to relate with a lot of young children and teenagers and along with the other staff too. This being said from a now less troubled teenager.

I have heard great things about this facility and the difference that they are making with the kids. My sister has been a technical staff, intern and counselor at this facility and I have been inspired by her and her coworkers efforts to help these adolescents who are struggling with addiction and mental health as well as everything as that comes along with those two major issues. By hearing about the positive changes this team is making with the kids in the community and counties all over the state, I have been inspired myself to apply to the treatment center as a technical staff in order to familiarize myself with the field in hopes in going into the social work/alcohol and drug counseling field. I have also spoken with Wylie about providing the kids with personal training and have been able to have a conversation about how important it is for his program to incorporate fitness and healthy nutrition to the kids recovery!

Negatives: tech staff falling asleep during shifts. Tech and counseling staff belittling kids. Telling kids they are mentally ill. Denying kids phone calls to their family if they voice that they want to leave. Kids being given the wrong meds. Kids denied medical appointments and told they are med seeking if they state concerns. Staff will throw in a movie or have a kid run a group because they are too lazy. Wylie (director) constantly change rules. Likes to yell at staff and kids. Heather (counselor) never meets with kids. Tells kids they are mentally ill or being overly dramatic. If you need to talk to someone you are better off talking to a tech. Counselors have their own mental and using problems and shouldn't be working with kids. Good luck on voicing your disappointment with anything.

As a client coming out of wings I think that Wings is one of the best treatment centers out there! Wings has helped me in more ways than any one can imagine, I'm myself again. The counselors there are all Amazing, the tech staff are fantastic. I would go there before going any other place!!

I am in an internship on my journey to becoming an alcohol and drug counselor. This facility and staff was open enough to give me a chance at my future. I could not ask for a better place to do this internship. The kids are great to work with, the staff feels like a family and I can say that I am genuinely happy being here. I hope to one day join this unique, positive team.
